How do you keep my data confidential?

The confidentiality and security of your data is a fundamental concern for Aplos Analytics. All information transfers are performed using encrypted communication between your computer and the Aplos Analytics servers. This is the same encryption used for secure financial transactions on the internet. Data is stored securely in our private cloud storage instance.

What do I have to install to use Aplos NCA?

Nothing! Aplos NCA is a cloud-based API (application programming interface) that does not require any local software. You can access Aplos NCA through the web interface that we provide or using locally installed software such as R, python, and SAS. You can even write your own proprietary software to interact with Aplos NCA API. The calculation engine and file storage reside on private, secure cloud servers. That means that you can access the software from any computer, tablet, or phone that has an active internet connection.

Does the FDA accept results from Aplos NCA?

Yes! The FDA does not recommend or require the use of particular software for conducting pharmacokinetic analysis. The sponsor is required to report the software used and submit the electronic files supporting the analysis and results. All of the input and output files from Aplos NCA are human-readable and in a format acceptable for submission to the FDA. Unlike other products, no proprietary data formats are used by Aplos NCA.

Can I use SSO for both web and API access?

Aplos NCA supports Single Sign-On (SSO) for secure access through the web interface. However, SSO is limited to browser-based use and cannot be used for direct API access — such as when connecting from R, Python, SAS, or other external tools. Aplos Analytics does not recommend SSO for any users that plan on leveraging direct API access to Aplos NCA.

This limitation is due to how SSO authentication protocols work, which are designed for interactive, user-driven logins rather than automated or programmatic access. Thus any users with SSO enabled will be restricted to only browser-based access to Aplos NCA. If your team needs both web-based SSO access and programmatic access via the Aplos NCA API, you’ll need to set up separate user accounts: one for SSO login to the web app, and another with standard credentials for API use. Please note that the standard credentials will also allow access through the web browser. As an alternative, your team could choose not to enable SSO, which would allow a single user account to access both the Aplos NCA web app and the API.
